Sheen's House is situated in Edinburgh, 650 yards from University of Edinburgh. Sciennes/ Newington is great for tourists as the property is a 15-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle and the High Street (the main attractions for tourists in Edinburgh). Princes Street and the New Town is another 10 minutes walk (or bus 41). It is a typical Edinburgh town house. The whole property has been recently renovated. There are numerous high quality cafés and also a good restaurant a minute from the house. Finally, there is a large park with a good playground for children that is 5-10 minutes away on foot.

Sciennes (pronounced Sheens) is a quiet, upmarket residential district just off the Meadows. The National Museum of Scotland is 10 minutes away and the High Street 15 minutes away on foot (across the Meadows Park). The area has numerous cafés, two local pubs, a supermarket that is open late and a high quality restaurant. The cafes are able to offer a whole range of different types of breakfast from eggs Benedict to porridge, continental to full English.
