Swan Cottage is a large traditional chalk and brick detached Norfolk cottage dating back to the 19th century, set in the middle of a one acre plot, with uninterrupted rural views over the rolling countryside. Located in South Creake, this hideaway boasts a 10m outdoor heated swimming pool, plus an outdoor kitchen with wood-fired pizza oven and built-in gas barbecue.

South Creake is a charming village and Swan Cottage is located on the outer edge of the village closer to North Creake. The River Burn runs through the village (and passes through the bottom of the garden at Swan Cottage). There is a super playing field with a playground and football field, lots of ducks and tennis courts in the village. The Ostrich Inn has recently been refurbished and is serving excellent locally sourced meals, and the village also has the Creake Crab Shack and a wonderful vegetable stand, selling fresh local produce. In North Creake (about one mile away) is the Jolly Farmers, a lovely traditional village pub serving excellent home cooked food and ales also Creake Abbey which has an interesting array of artisan shops - an absolute must if you are staying at Swan Cottage. Wine enthusiasts should definitely head to Burn Valley Vineyard. Amble down the vine rows before heading back to the winery to sample their fantastic latest vintages accompanied by a charcuterie platter. Swan Cottage is about five minutes' drive to Burnham Market with its array of shops, boutiques, a good butcher and fishmonger, plus it is home to the famous Hoste Arms which has a restaurant, bar and spa. As well as The Hoste, also pay a visit to Socius, No.Twenty9 which has live music on a Friday evening and friendly bar, plus of course great food - they do great alfresco dining in the rear courtyard - and don't forget North Street Bistro which is perfect for more intimate dining. Equally the Nelson pub is great for families and The Mermaid which is located at the garage in Burnham serves some of the best fish and chips around. To get to the coast takes only 10 minutes either to beautiful Brancaster with its soft sands or Wells-Next-The-Sea with its fabulous quay, beach and beach huts flanked by a pinewood forest.
