Darren has enjoyed a career in hospitality and hotel services that has spanned 35 years, where he has been employed in hotels, restaurants, pubs and in the adult care sector. Immediately before creating EveAnna, Darren was Managing Director of a prestigious care home facility for older persons, which he designed and operated to a recognised high standard and of which he remains extremely proud. EveAnna marks the beginning of a new exciting venture, where he is able to dedicate his working time to provide consistent high quality standards. Darren is very friendly, approachable, objective and customer focused. His interests include worldwide travel, cycling, swimming, coastal walks and singing, theatre and live entertainment and he can regularly be found performing at the local karaoke, where EveAnna guests are always welcome to join in!!

All rooms are immaculately presented. Our quality standards are inspired through personal experience of travel and employing an attention to detail philosophy. Guests can relax and enjoy loads of value added extras as standard, which include: Hotel quality white bed linen and white Egyptian cotton 650 gsm towels, flannel and make up towels, full size, quality branded toiletries inc. Simple, Molten Brown, Scottish Soap, Bayliss and Harding. A complimentary tray of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mints, Scottish shortbread and fresh milk and water. We adopt a customer centric approach to provide little extras such as fresh flowers, wines, beers, Prosecco, chocolates, gifts tailored to meet individual needs. There is a small fridge, hairdryer and TV in all rooms. We host a high quality, healthy, continental style breakfast which usually includes: Fresh fruits and berries, yoghurt, ham, cheese, eggs, freshly baked breads and pastries, french conserves and honey, as well as local honey when in season, a wide selection of breakfast cereals, toasts and toasted sandwiches, hot and cold beverages, fresh juices and smoothies. We provide handy extras umbrellas, socks, hot water bottles.

Our period house is situated within a short walk of Alnwick town centre, close to the historic castle and gardens and with easy access to the beautiful Northumbrian coast and castles route. Regional and National train lines to Edinburgh and London and beyond can be found a short distance away. Alnwick boasts a good range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, a playhouse theatre and cinema and leisure centre. Local people are very friendly and hospitable. Nearby places of interest include Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and the Farne Islands, the Scottish border town of Berwick Upon Tweed. Newcastle, Durham and the Gateshead Metro Centre.
