Number 29 is a 6 minute walk to St Mildreds Bay beach ( and little further to West Bay beach ). It is a semi-detached, halls-adjoining Victorian house with high ceilings and spacious rooms. Inter-connecting living rooms with plenty of room to spread out and a large country styled kitchen-diner with extendable table to seat 10 people. The shower room has a large shower plus loo and sink AND there is a second separate loo with sink. There is a table and chairs out on the patio for those balmy evenings or respite after a day on the beach ( with the obligatory glass of wine ). Off street parking to the rear for one car is secured by two, 196cm high heavy duty and lockable gates. Smart flat screen TV in living room. Board games too. A testimonial from a private booking: We spent four lovely nights in this house with our daughter and two granddaughters. It was just right for us all. A self contained bedroom that the girls really enjoyed, with a large double for my wife and myself and a smaller bedroom for my daughter. The kitchen /diner was perfect for our needs with a little courtyard outside which the girls enjoyed, and an off road area for the car. The lounge has a little half wall divider so the girls really loved their own area to play. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, and the railway station is close by. The lovely flat sandy beach is about seven minutes walk which the three year old managed fine, with very shallow water for quite a way out, and a couple of restaurants by the beach, but no kiss me quick stuff. Also there were two lifeguards on duty at all times. We had a fabulous time on the beach with the girls and some close friends also joined us. A red letter trip for all of us. We will book again!!

A wonderful seaside town, an ideal base for those looking to explore this super part of Kent. The house is not far from two, beautiful, sandy beaches with cafes and restaurants close by ( as, of course, are the obligatory ice-cream and coffee counters ). Generally there is a plethora of eateries in and around town from fish and chips to Indian, Full English cafe to bistro restaurant and afternoon-tea tea room to artisan cafe. The High Street is a stones throw with its Art Deco cinema, railway station, Boots, Co-op, wine bars and micro pub. There is the promenade that takes you walking along the coast to Margate (via Strokes crazy golf course 20 mins from St Mildreds) for amusements galore including Dream Land, arcades and rides on the beach. Again you will be spoilt for choice for eateries and team rooms. In addition you will find the Turner Gallery, Margate Museum, Caves and Shell Grotto. Concerts are held at Dream Land and The Winter Gardens. Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex Farm Park & Activity Centre and Quex Farm Shop & Restaurant are in nearby Birchington. For those interested in exploring further afield try Ramsgate with its harbour, Broadstairs and historic Canterbury. The two local beaches are both Blue Flag beaches with life guards during certain times / seasons.
