## The space Our house is over 100 years old and though greatly cared for, shows its age in some places. Expect to find some loving wear, quaint aging both inside and outside. The Knavesmire offers homely accommodation that would suit a family or group of 4. It is perfect for any family with a four-leg furry family member as it is pet-friendly. The house is set up for 4 guests but can accommodate up to 6, if guests are happy to camp out on the double sofa bed. The layout of our home ... You will find the dining room as you enter the house A light airy room with a family dining table, six chairs. Plenty of space to get together and serve a family meal, picnics, or takeaways. Along the hallway is the cosy living space at the back of the house with smart tv, giving access to apps such as BBC iplayer, enabling streaming of films on Netflix. Board games, books (or swop-a-book), complimentary WiFi is available. Plenty of entertainment for a night in! The sofa can be made into a comfortable double bed. for extra guests if needed. Off the living room, you will find a fully stocked, well-equipped kitchen, with everything you need to cook. – Plenty of pots/pans/serving dishes for large meals. – Serving utensils. – Full set of knives. – Oven, grill and hob. - Microwave - Kettle and toaster – Fridge - Washing machine We provide all those extra little things like tea towels, j cloths, washing up liquid, bin liners etc. Our family bathroom is located downstairs off the kitchen. A brand new fitted bathroom suite featuring a bath with an overhead shower. Towels are provided for the number of guests booked. You will find upstairs .... Two spacious bedrooms featuring one luxury comfortable super king size bed and two single beds. Black out curtains and plenty of bedroom furniture to store and hang your belongings. ## The neighborhood Our house is located in a charming neighborhood with the popular award-winning ‘Bishy Road’, a short ten-minute walk away. Where you will find independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs serving local ale. Nearby at the end of the road you will find the local Knavesmire butchers, greengrocer, bakery, and local pub. Ideally located for dog walkers, runners and children with the Knavesmire being so close. Situated near the popular award-winning ‘Bishy Road’, a short ten minute walk away.. A twenty minute walk will take you into York city centre, along the banks of the River Ouse. ## Getting around Free on street parking is available outside the house. It is a twenty minute walk into York center which can be taken along the River Ouse or alternatively passing through the famous "Bishy Road". There is a bus stop located at the end of the street, taking you into York within minutes.
