We are Nick and Yoanna and we welcome you to our Victorian house, with 2 luxury guest bedrooms - decorated with designer wallpaper and furnished with great care to ensure the very best quality and comfort. We are especially proud of our beds, which have received many compliments! The rooms have Nespresso coffee machines, designer porcelain crockery, large TV's (with Netflix!), Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels. Biscuits, chocolates, fresh milk, complimentary water and soft drinks are available for all our guests. The BLUE ROOM has an en suite bathroom with a walk in shower, it overlooks the front of the house with a large magnolia tree. The GREEN ROOM has a four poster bed and en suite bathroom with a walk in shower. It overlloks the back of the house and allotment gardens. There are no dedicated parking spaces but there is ample street parking outside. Breakfast is available at an extra charge - you can choose from different options on arrival - the full menu is available in your bedroom. Please note that both rooms are on the first floor and therefore not really suitable for guests with mobility problems.
We live in the house with our daughter and niece (often away studying) and our little dog (a toy poodle). We used to own a large restaurant/ wedding venue where Nick was the head chef, so he loves to cook. Yoanna is a music teacher (piano and singing) and there may be lessons downstairs during the week so some sound (hopefully pleasant) might carry through to your bedroom in the afternoon/ early evening.
We are walking distance from the train station (10 -15 minutes) and the town centre, with many restaurants and cafes (we are happy to reccomend). Grantham has great train connections to London or York (around 70 minutes), Nottingham or Lincoln (30 -40 minutes). If you are traveliing by car, the A1 & A52 are also very easily accessible, and both Stamford and Newark are a 30 minute drive. We highly reccomend a visit to Belton House or Woolsthorpe Manor (the birthplace of Isaac Newton)- both fantastic NT properties. Also a few miles from Grantham you will find Belvoir Castle - (the home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland) and the Engine Yard - a lovely range of boutique shops with its own pub and restaurant, designed by the Duchess. There is also great shopping at Boundary Mills - a factory outlet and a large garden centre with many bargains on offer. We are looking forward to seeing you soon. Nick and Yoanna
