The property a a turn of the century converted school. Lovingly converted to three purpose built holiday homes by the present owners. Each house has a large open living area with modern well equipped kitchen, dinning area and sitting room combined. They all have two double bedrooms upstairs , and two have an additional bunk bedrooms downstairs. They have an interesting roof shape and the bedrooms upstairs wary in shape and size, some having low beams. Eryri has the highest bedroom roof if you are tall. it also has an additional small bathroom upstairs with a toilet and sink. They all have a fully enclosed garden area . Snowdon and Yr wydffa are accessed by patio doors, Eryri's garden is behind the property. Up to two well behaved dogs are allowed, at a fee per dog per stay. You can book the cottages separately or in any combination therefore sleeping between 2 to 16 guest , so great if you are coming as a couple or group of friends or relatives wanting to spend your holidays together. We also own another house close by in Waunfawr, called 1 Pen Clip, this sleeps 4, so you could add to your group numbers.
I am the local private physio, my clinic is two miles up the road, so if you are booking to come for a sporting event, have an injury whilst away or before coming on holiday or even want to book in for a relaxing or sports massage you can contact me to arrange this with your stay. My husband and I have an interest in converting old buildings, the old school was our project and took 3 years of hard work to complete. It was an empty shell with half the roof caved in when we started, We are also dog lovers and wanted to provide a house that could easily take dogs, We hate to leave ours behind and our fury friends enjoy their holidays too. The houses all have solid floors to keep them clean and hygienic, and there is a gated grassy area behind that the dogs can enjoy, and loads of wonderful walking in the surrounding area.
The local area is farm land. Its a quite, peaceful rural area, you will need a car to get about and visit, but its central to all the major attractions in North Wales. The local shop and garage is half a mile away. The nearest award winning Indian restaurant and takeaway is half a mile away and historic Caernarfon, with its castle is just down the road, you will find lots to do there and plenty of places to eat. Llanberis is in the other direction 6 miles away. You can easily visit the Llyn Peninsular, Beddgelert, Betws y Coed, Porthmadog area, Llandudno, Conwy and Anglesey. Zip wire, Bethesda is 12 miles away. There are loads of Children's attractions close by - Gipsy Wood, The Green Wood Centre, Sea Zoo, Pili Palace etc, If history is your interest, there's Penryhn Castle, Plas Newydd, Caernarfon Castle and more all close too. The whole Snowdonia Mountain range and its beautiful surrounding country side, lakes, rivers, beeches are all local and accessible for swimming, climbing, walking, hiking, cycling and water sports. Its easy to hire sports equipment or book outdoor activities. Its a great area to bring a dog, There are 3 cottages to choose from.
