A rare lovingly restored 1940's fairground Showman's waggon, brimming with character and harm.Set in the beautiful gardens of Southlands farm, it is the perfect retreat for couples a truly unique experience.It may be small but it has a wood-burning stove, wifi, full size oven wonderful views across the garden and beyond.Beautiful night skies, bbq and so much more. It has it own shepherds hut bespoke bathroom with large walk in shower, victorian sink and a "Cindi "incinerating loo which we discovered whilst staying at the famous Norwegian Treetop cabins. Crisp sheets, cozy throws welcome flowers and basket on arrival.Pretty fabrics furnish the waggon and complete the retro look and make for a very cozy stay.
Charles and Dee are the beating heart of Southlands.Dee's attention to detail and artistic flair can be felt throughout all the cottages.There is a mix of antique furniture, open fires and lovely fabrics creating a cozy and restful retreat.Charles's creative hand can be seen in the artisan kitchens, staircases and curtain rails designed to give each cottage a bespoke finish.The Showman's Waggon is situated in the gardens at Southlands, a picturesque smallholding with beautiful herbaceous borders, vegetable patch and open fields beyond.Charles and Dee endeavour to create a bespoke experience for all who visit Southlands.They also offer group bookings, floristry courses and catering and more on request.

Immerse yourself in Roman history or visit historic houses.Walk the beautiful Northumbrian coastline, visit castles, taste some of the finest sea food.Hire bikes or bring your own and explore Kielder water and forest park. Experience sailing, cycling, the bird of prey centre or the dark sky observatory. For a gentler day visit Hare shaw Linn and dogs love it too! Or try a little retail shopping in the historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge, both 7 miles away. Hexham boasts a beautiful Abbey several supermarkets and weekly farmers market .Some great places to eat, Corbridge has some great unique independent shops and places to eat .If you just fancy a night in you can even order a takeaway or cook in the well equipped kitchens or fire up the bbq pour a glass and take in the beautiful sun sets....
