Tillers Cottage is a pretty 18th century stone cottage set in the heart of the scenic North Yorkshire village of Ebberston, lying between the vibrant Market Town of Pickering and the coastal seaside resort of Scarborough. The owners Kate and Steff have used their creative flair to maximise the space; the end result being a beautifully, well-appointed and cleverly laid out cottage for up to 8 guests. The open plan kitchen/diner/snug is the perfect space, designed for cooking and socialising! Both the snug and the spacious separate lounge, come complete with wood burners, to keep you cosy on chilly evenings. The village of Ebberston may be small but has so much to offer. With a wonderful village pub and spectacular walks from the door, there is so much to discover in this beautiful area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). It really is a wonderful escape to North Yorkshire for both friends and family and dog friendly too!

Ebberston offers an excellent local inn, children’s play park and tennis court. It has regular public transport buses connecting it with Scarborough to the East and Helmsley to the West. The property is just a short drive to the pretty village of Thornton-le-dale home to the famous car auction house ‘Matthewsons’ along with an array of enchanting shops, tea rooms and eating establishments. The quaint market towns of Pickering, Malton and Helmsley are also very close by. Tillers Cottage is positioned on the very doorstep to the North York Moors National Park and only a short cycle ride direct from the property to Dalby Forest itself. The cathedral City of York is also extremely easily accessible, lying just 30 miles away. Within walking distance of Tillers Cottage is Chafer Wood, a popular walking destination, where King Alfred’s Cairn / Cave can be found. The cairn dating back to 1770, built on top of a cave where King Alfred rested following injury in a battle around 708 AD.
