Toppesfield Vineyard's luxury Scandi-style villa has a large open plan lounge & dining area with a giant picture window overlooking Toppesfield Vineyard; full height glass sliding doors looking out onto a beautiful private garden for guests; a sheltered private patio/terrasse with a large outside dining table, sun loungers, corner sofa, armchair, Weber BBQ and Morso pizza oven. It has a luxury bedroom with superking size bed and extensive views over the vineyard, a high end bathroom with a nickel roll top bath and electronic shower, a tennis court and a 4 person jacuzzi (2nd bedroom available via 4 person listing). The fridge is stocked with Toppesfield's award winning wines which are available through the vineyard's honesty system.
The owners provide a ‘meet and greet’ service to explain the high-tech features of the villa. They also offer exclusive wine tours and tastings for guests (there is an additional charge for these which must be booked in advance).
This is a very peaceful location just 3 metres from the edge of the vineyard, surrounded by soft rolling countryside on one side and beautiful mature gardens and a large pond on the other side. Toppesfield is a unique village with a community owned pub, village shop and microbrewery. It is a 10-minute drive from the picturesque villages of Finchingfield and Castle Hedingham, 20 minutes from Saffron Walden and Sudbury and 50 minutes from Cambridge and Colchester. There are lots of great walks and cycle rides from the Wine Centre door and many different types of wildlife that can be seen from the picture windows overlooking the vineyard (hares, rabbits, deer, red kites, herons). There are also occasional visits to the pond from otters. This property is in a very peaceful, rural location. Travel is easiest by car but we can provide details of taxi companies for those travelling to Braintree by train (about 25 mins drive). There is a BBQ for easy dinners and a great range of good restaurants and pubs for eating out as well as a number of takeaway outlets that deliver to the doorstep.
