To be honest we almost bailed out of the booking, thinking the price which incl breakfast was too good to be true.
But it’s a modern hotel not just some B&B!

The waterfront is very pleasant, and parts of the town very historic, though the physical area which needs to be covered was too much for the short length of my visit. I would have visited Christchurch Park if I'd had the time and stamina.

Ipswich had a surprising chilled vibe in the centre of town. It also has a fantastic vegan restaurant! Hanks - would go back just to eat a beautiful meal:) A day trip to Felixstowe is also a very good option.

Our stay at Coxy House was truly a 10+ experience!
Our stay at Coxy House was truly a 10+ experience! From the moment we arrived, we could feel how much love, care, and attention Inga has put into creating this beautiful home.
Everything has been thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. The house is decorated with impeccable taste, and you can find absolutely everything you might need—even a yoga mat! We were also delighted by the wonderful selection of teas, as well as the slippers and bathrobes provided for guests.
Honestly, everything was even better than in some of the most luxurious five-star hotels. The level of comfort and hospitality is exceptional.
The location is also perfect—close to the city centre and within easy walking distance of Foxhall Station, making it very convenient to explore the area.
We will definitely be coming back next year. Thank you so much, Inga, for making us feel so genuinely at home. It was an unforgettable stay, and we can't wait to return!

Went to a Reggae Funday at the Golden Hind to see Barry Boom performance and it was fantastic 💯🤩🥳I loved the people, the atmosphere and the welcoming vibes from everyone! I danced all night and had a great time in Ipswich with people I've never met before 😅 10 out of 10🎉🎊🥳🥳🥳

Ipswich is a weii-kept city with a busy pedesrian-only main shopping area,
cafes, street market stalls and banks where one can actually talk to staff!
Busy trafficked streets are well-controlled with the best traffic lights and pedestrian safety possible. I enjoyed my 2 - day visit.

Amazing hotel in the centre of Ipswich, easy reach of the train station, road network and centre of town.
I was in a single room which was so compact and full of everything I needed.
Great little shower room, TV, desk and chair, and area to hang clothes. Room had a kettle and microwave with an assortments of tea ans coffee.
The reception staff was so helpful and gave me a breakfast bag.
Really had a comfortable stay and certainly recommend this lovely hotel.
PS Car parking available at the hotel

A perfect location to stay, close to the A12 and local attractions , like Sutton Hoo, Ipswich, Felixstowe and Woodbridge, but really peaceful.
Opted for an apartment , at the Gatehouse and although slightly more expensive than rooms in the hotel, I was really impressed with the size, decoration and fixtures and fittings. Our apartment was disabled accessible and had a wet room.

Fabulous hotel in a great location, with the friendliest, most welcoming and helpful staff I have ever encountered. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, valued and to ensure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was also excellent. We are now thinking up reasons to visit Ipswich so we come back to Salthouse!

This hotel is well located to where I work whilst in Ipswich which I find very convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is very good and well priced. I am also pleased by the private parking facilities and the pleasant and helpful staff.
