We were given a very warm welcome by reception and a friendly 'butler'. The room was excellent with a nide fresh decor and nice little touches like a draughts set and a bottle of gin to take home. Being Adnams, the beer is excellent and there's a wide choice of drinks in the bar. The food and front of house staff in the restaurant was excellent too. Altogether an impeccable stay.

We tried to book in Southwold, but with the heatwave and last minute, there was nothing available. So we ended up here and had a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is very new, easy parking. We couldn’t open the front door, but the manager was very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic, spotless, great bathroom, comfortable bed and very quiet, very nice decor throughout. We walked to Lowestoft high street along the coastal path, very nice walk too. We were here only for one night, but very happy with the hotel and location.

An absolutely stunning period property in a beautiful location. The staff at the hotel are a credit to the business. Everyone was extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The restaurant food was impeccable. Excellent water pressure in the showers and a very comfortable bed. A special mention to Uri for taking such good care of us.

The waterfront is very pleasant, and parts of the town very historic, though the physical area which needs to be covered was too much for the short length of my visit. I would have visited Christchurch Park if I'd had the time and stamina.

This thriving town is brilliant!

This thriving town is brilliant! It is steeped in history and crammed with independent shops, pubs and eateries. Favourite places included St Mary’s in the Abbey gardens, the Old Canon Brewery and mooching around the independent shops. We also visited Ickworth House which which was surprisingly interesting and has large grounds for walking and cycling.

Lovely seafront. Beach is more stony than it used to be so take your sand shoes! Nice toilets but quite a walk to them if you’re at the opposite end of the prom! Fab fresh hot donuts from the kiosk 😋

Wonderful seaside resort like no other.

Wonderful seaside resort like no other. Very traditional and old-fashioned with beautiful old houses and beach huts. No arcades, funfairs, parties or rowdy behaviour. Perfect for families. Seems to be a really well-run town with public toilets everywhere. Great shops. Lots of places to visit. Lots of pubs and restaurants.

I have known Aldeburgh for 70 years and it has hardly changed in that time, except perhaps to go a little upmarket. It's charm remains in the architecture, small streets with their ice-cream coloured cottages and mostly independent shops, plus of course the beach and fishing boats/huts. We ate at the Regatta restaurant - excellent seafood in laid-back holiday atmosphere.

Long Melford is such a lovely place, the main street is idyllic and there are plenty of good pubs, restaurants and cafes. The Hare Inn is minutes from The Annexe by foot, serves excellent food and is really welcoming. Long Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, both in the village are wonderful attractions and the surrounding area is full of beautiful villages.
