Excellent location being an easy stroll onto town with its good selection of restaurants. We were staying primarily to visit IWM Duxford, around 30 minutes drive.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Very good check in process.
Breakfast was very good and cooked to order rather than buffet style.

If interested in race horses this is the place to go.
If interested in race horses this is the place to go. You could spend days visiting the numerous stables scattered around the area. There are several museums and studs and a visit to the gallops is well worth the effort. Plenty of restaurants and bars on the High Street and Newmarket has good access to the nearby A14.

If visiting a local race yard obviously Newmarket is a base.
If visiting a local race yard obviously Newmarket is a base. The race horse museum is very good - allow 4hrs to do thoroughly.
Get up early and watch racehorses on the gallops.
Otherwise Newmarket is very run down these days. High street has many boarded up premesis and low grade eateries.
Nice curry house and Italian.
If we came again we’d stay in Cambridge and get a 20 min train.

Historical area and interesting in terms of horse racing.
Historical area and interesting in terms of horse racing. Seeing the horses on the heath in the early morning was interesting.
Ate at Unico which was a good Italian.
Ate at The Pantry which was a good all rounder.
The hotel was in a great location to the high street and within a comfortable walking distance from the train station. The room was clean, spacious, and inviting with wonderful views of the stabled horses. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and provided fresh room facilities daily. A real family friendly hotel with a large pool with staff eager to help and make sure your stay is perfect. Will definitely come again.
I was travelling in Auckland New Zealand and mistakenly booked a hotel in Auckland UK.... When I realized, I emailed the hotel ahead of time and they told me they would refund the money but I have not received it and I wonder if it went back to Booking.com?
I wanted an alternative to Newmarket town centre for a short (1 night) business trip. Worked well, and I'd definitely consider using it again if in town for either racing or the sales.
