Excellent value for money given the quality, with outstanding support and service even during the holiday period. A particularly thoughtful touch was the Christmas sweets left by the staff, accompanied by a lovely welcome card. Stacey was exceptional we briefly triggered the smoke detector with my wife’s hairdryer (these devices are very sensitive), and she arrived within minutes to resolve the issue professionally and calmly. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely return!

Lowestoft is a shadow of what it was when I grew up in the town. The High Street is now largely a collection of charity stores, vape shops and empty storefronts. It all seemed a little empty and desperate. The beach, while still quite nice near the Claremont Pier, which has a wide sandy stretch and some decent on-beach infrastructure, is not what it was - largely narrow and stone-filled. I am not sure what has happened with what used to be guest houses along the promenade, but many seem rather dirty and poorly kept. I imagine that they are no longer doing business as guest houses. The new gull wing bridge is a huge improvement for general mobility, and it looks as if some development may happen around the docks. I hope so, because I cannot see much else positive going on in the town.

The seafront and prom is well maintained.

The seafront and prom is well maintained. Lowestoft has an interesting maritime history with a range of shopping and local events. The town centre is being redeveloped and a new bridge is making traffic flow better. There are beaches north and south and the parks ie Normanston, Belle View,Sparrows Nest, Everets and Kensington Gardens are important and enjoyable environmental areas. Visiting Lowestoft provides an enjoyable historical, leisure and well managed enviromental experience with new developments in the pipeline to enjoy.

Obviously my favourite place was beautiful seaside, I enjoyed very much restaurant on the seaside there The Thatch, I have been drinking a lot cold drinks as the weather was very hot this time. It is not easy get around Lowestoft because all kind of road mixed with bridges and limitation of speed between 20-30.

We didn't really spend time in Lowestoft itself we visited Gorleston and Great Yarmouth both with really great beaches and not very busy. Great Yarmouth there is plenty to do if you like the seaside for both adults and children we had really great weather which I am sure helps.

We stay in and around Lowestoft fairly often as we like the Warners Holiday Village at Corton just north of Lowestoft, the wherry hotel which sits right on the Oulton Broads and the Coach House Hotel at Carlton Coleville. Next to the Coachouse hotel is the Transport Museum. The town of Lowestoft itself is a fairly typical seaside town, a little run down but with a range of shops and activities worth a look. The parking for the town centre gets very busy at times but we normally find a spot at the Library Car park right next to the main shopping centre. Out of town there is the North Quay Retail Park with a good range of shops and all the usual Supermarkets dotted around. Pleasurewood Hills theme park is just north of the town and there is a second Warners Holliday Park nearby at Gunton Hall. The Premier Inn is in a great location on the outskirts of the town and has a Beefeater pub/restaurant (The Foxburrow) next to it. Just South of town is Kirkley, a delightful area just off the seafront with pubs and shops. There is a zoo at Kessingland just South of Lowestoft and a very reasonably priced Holliday camp (although very basic and a little run down) at Pakefield…Pakefield Holliday Village. Lowestoft to Great Yarmouth is only 15 minutes by car and the lovely riverside town of Beccles is about 30 miniatures by car. Worth a visit for sure.

We were pleasantly surprised by Lowestoft. whilst it is an old fishing port it retains a holiday charm. it is recommended for the older visitor as not a lot for families apart from a superb beach. the town is made up of one way streets so a sat nav is a must in your vehicle.

We tried to book in Southwold, but with the heatwave and last minute, there was nothing available. So we ended up here and had a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is very new, easy parking. We couldn’t open the front door, but the manager was very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic, spotless, great bathroom, comfortable bed and very quiet, very nice decor throughout. We walked to Lowestoft high street along the coastal path, very nice walk too. We were here only for one night, but very happy with the hotel and location.

We liked the staff, friendly and helpful. We liked the food excellent breakfast and evening meal. Limited menu but food cooked to perfection. We liked the hotel being dog friendly and no extra charge for our furry friends. Some hotels are charging exhorbatent fees up to £25 a night per dog. Our dogs enjoyed their stay and were made welcome. The hotel is ideally situated between Lowestoft and Yarmouth and within minutes of the lovely dog friendly beach at Gorleston. This was our third visit and we will be back.

The Hotel Victoria in my view should easily be 4 Star. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and the sea view was stunning. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. I must mention the gentleman on night duty was very pleasant, offered me some advice etc, also the two young people at breakfast, Leah and Jamie. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. My wife and I were very impressed with their presentation and professionalism. Our return to the Hotel Victoria is guaranteed.

We use this Hotel when we visit our son and his family in Lowestoft its also dog friendly which is a must for us having two adorable cockapoos that always get a great welcome. We use the restaurant for an evening meal and drinks which always has a nice friendly atmosphere and good food with a specials board. The best thing about this hotel is the staff from reception to bar to cleaners all do a marvelous job and make you feel like family.

Location is fantastic- one road off from the seafront. Easy check in at the Hatfield hotel & able to park in car park. Room had everything we needed. We are used to a super king bed so going to a double is always interesting. Room had a great shower. Had a couple of drinks at the main hotel but didn't eat as ate with family in Lowestoft.
