The cottage is located in the traditional and friendly village of Youlgreave, within the heart of the Peak District National Park, and with uninterrupted countryside views from the front of the cottage. The area is a popular base for walkers and cyclists and within the village there is a variety of traditional pubs and a couple of shops. Uniquely, Youlgreave is the only village in Britain to produce and manage its own water supply. Bradford Dale, the source of the water is just a 5-minute walk from the cottage and is home to a natural swimming pool for the brave.
