If you would prefer a light bite of afternoon tea, pop into Skinny Kitten Cafe and Bar. Barton under Needwood also has all the essentials you may need such as a supermarket, chemist and post office. Barton Marina hosts several events throughout the year along with several boutique shops and eateries. The well-known brewing town of Burton on Trent (5 miles) provides lots of well known high street shops and also home to Stapehill Gardens, a popular local park with formal gardens and woodland. Visit the National Memorial Arboretum where you can discover 400 memorials amongst 25,000 trees. Enjoy the riverside walks and participate in a wide variety of daily activities. Tutbury Castle, owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, is a largely ruined medieval castle. Showcasing a huge amount of history, it makes the perfect visit for all.
