We hope you feel welcome at Alios and have everything you need. We have provided an espresso machine with the pods for your first day, sugar, our own olive oil and everything you need for making breakfast or snacks, you can drink the water in Athens and we have a jug of cold water for you in the fridge. We hope we have thought of everything you will need to make your selves comfortable. There is a washer and dryer, games, gas bbq and a big screen TV with netflix and local channels. Alios is an interior apartment so it is very safe, it has a balcony that looks onto a courtyard so there is not a lot of natural light which keeps the apartment cool in summer warm in winter. Nevertheless we have central heating and air conditioning that works quickly and is easy to use. We have provided books about Greece, things to see and do and history. We are always adding things we think you will enjoy and find helpful. Pillows and throws for the couch, a bluetooth speaker, lamps and lights for reading, soft and firm pillows, yoga mat with blocks and there are extra towels under the bed. There are big cupboards for hanging clothes, a full length mirror, iron and ironing board, dryer rack outside for hanging clothes, blow dryer, shampoo and shower gel and soap for washing clothes. Please add tips and recommendations on the chalkboard and add a comment in our guestbook. We value your thoughts and ideas. We try to make your stay as cozy and convenient as possible. We have had so many enjoyable times at Alios and we hope you do too.

I am from Canada and my husband is from Athens - we combine the best of two countries. He was born and raised at our Alios apartment and inherited it from his parents. Now fully renovated we love this beautiful quiet place in the bustle of the city and we thought others would like it too. We live on Naxos island where we have the Mexican restaurant Picasso on the beach and a design concept store Aegean Blue. We travel a lot because we are only open in the summer so we know what travelers want. We want you to feel welcome and we hope we have thought of everything you will need to make your selves comfortable. We are always adding things we think you will enjoy and find helpful. When we stay in Athens our favorite thing to do is walk along the main road to the ancient Olympic Stadium stopping at the Goulandris for coffee in their beautiful cafe then we continue along to Hadrians Arch and past to the Acropolis museum we have an ice cream and then we walk along to Thiseo and around to Monastiraki and up to Syntagma. Another way is to walk towards the centre - Syntagma Square you see all the major museums on the street Vasili Sofias and end up in the centre. We love going to the museums nearby, exploring neighbourhoods and finding new restaurants. Alios is a great place for all of that. When we are in the city we dont use a car - we always walk or take the metro. We always keep a close eye on the winter schedule for the Megaron Mousique - the Athens Music Hall which is just up the road and near the Megaron metro station. We plan our trips around concerts and dance performances. There are also wonderful productions at the Stavros Niarchos Centre in Pireaus home of the Greek Opera and Ballet. Just walking through the centre you can find wonderful restaurants, food from all over the world and the best of Greek food. There are lots of nightclubs and bars - there is always something happening. We hope you find Athens as enjoyable as we do!

All the major museums are nearby and the new National Gallery which is definitely worth a visit. The Megaron Music Hall has brilliant performances of music and dance and is just opposite the Megaron Musique Metro station - this is the closest station to Alios - a 3 minute walk. Coffee shops, restaurants and quiet parks these are the best things about the neighbourhood and of course its proximity to the Centre to the Ancient Olympic Stadium to the Metro and the wonderful walks that you can enjoy from here.
