The Whitestone is located on the garden-pool level of a beautiful Villa. The Villa is made entirely out of a local white stone from the island of Brac. The same stone was used to build Diocletian's palace in the 4th century, as well as the Wiener Hofburg Palace in Austria; the Parliament Buildings in Budapest, Hungary; and the Governor’s Palace in Trieste, Italy. Some even say that the same stone was used in the 1902 restoration of the White House, United States. Not only are all the white stones made by local stone-smiths but also the entire interior decor is a custom design and all the furniture is handmade by local craftsmen. This is why it took more than 20 years to complete building the The Whitestone Villa.

The Whitestone is located on the border of Split’s most beautiful upscale neighborhood Meje and Split’s oldest neighborhood Varos. Situated on the Marjan hill, the city’s main park forest, The Whitestone offers spectacular views of the Adriatic sea, the marina and the city. Right down the street, less than a 3 minute walk, you will find the historical Marjan Steps which lead up to the city’s landmark vista view point Vidilica. Continuing further down the street you reach the sea front of the old town. Here you will find locals and foreigners mingling through the old streets and going for walks along the main sea side promenade called Riva. The old town is the true heart of Split, whether you wake up early to go have your morning espresso or dress up for an evening dinner, you will find everything there in old town, restaurants, bars and shops, just a few minutes walking distance from The Whitestone.
