The host was very welcoming, and you feel part of the community. The place is very beautiful and very well looked after and maintained, I like how the even decor has a natural sense to it, for example the chair and tables are solid wood. It’s a great place to relax and discover yourself. I liked how all the guest sit and eat at same table, it’s a good way of getting to know each other. The food was healthy home cooked meals. The place doesn’t give vibes of a commercial hotel. Only relaxation vibes here and discovering yourself while in this place of beauty The place is very private, each of the rooms are far from each other.

We looked for something quiet and off the beaten paths of Bali to relax and recharge some energy after travelling for more than 3 months, changing locations every few days. And it turned out Anima Retreat was absolutely the right place for us to do so! Everyone was super nice and very considerate about our well-being, we even got dinner although arriving very late in the night. We loved the home-cooked meals, super delicious, and enjoyed not having to worry about where to get food. We also did some coaching sessions with Sebastien and he really managed to create a safe space for us to be open about what our goals are for those sessions and why. Can only recommend!

The moment we arrived we were greeted by Sebastian and Rani, such a warm friendly couple that made us feel welcomed and part of the Anima family straight away. We loved the accomodation, the fact there are only 5 villas nicely spread out in the grounds, the sounds of nature all around us was amazing. We loved that everyone shared one big table at mealtimes so we all got to know each other. There is no pressure or hassle to do anything - if you chose to relax that’s fine, if you want to do yoga or meditation or massages it’s there waiting for you. A beautifully relaxing holiday in an idyllic setting with amazing hosts and 6 friendly dogs - what more could you ask for.

Everything. I had such an amazing stay at Anima, I didn't want to leave. Hosts were very kind, it really didn't feel like a resort, it truly felt like I was staying with family and their friendly dogs. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and comfy. It was serene, quiet and provided a much needed time out to some of the more lively and busy areas of Bali. Sebastian's guidance was fantastic - I would recommend one of his workshops during your stay. I really understood a lot more about myself due to his readings and help. I also had a fantastic massage whilst I was there. It was great to meet and spend time with other travellers during my time there too. The food was great, true Indonesian cuisine. I would 100% recommend and I will be back again in the future for sure!

The place is extremely quiet, the nature around is beautiful, you can really feel the exotic side of Bali. The hosts were super nice, ready to give you suggestions and advice if you want to explore the surroundings. The food that they serve is 100% home made and traditional, which I personally loved. Overall the atmosphere of the retreat is great for a relaxing holiday.

Warmhearted Rani and Sebastian have created a perfect healing space. A place where you can calm down and enjoy nature. Had a lovely massage and a powerful water purification with a local priest. This place is a true gift for your soul.

The place is everything you expect from Bali. It’s right in the middle of vegetation and ricefield, in a totally peaceful environment (the only noise you hear at night is the sound of the ocean nearby). The village is authentic and full of friendly balinese who still behave like tourists aren’t a thing. The property is huge and rooms are so big that I am tempted to call them houses! There are 5 or 6 dogs living there, so make sure you are ok with dogs before booking; they are quite friendly and do not bother at all

Everything. The location was absolutely perfect - surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the jungle, Anima is the perfect place to switch off, relax and reconnect with nature. The design of the property is fantastic with 5 beautiful buildings for visitors to stay and a fantastic communal dining space looking out onto one of two amazing swimming pools. The gardens are wonderfully vibrant and superbly kept filled with beautiful tropical plants and for on-site activities such as yoga, mediation and massage there are separate spaces which are tranquil and beautifully designed. But most of all there’s the wonderful hospitality from Sebastien and Rani and their amazing team of staff (and of course their delightful and dedicated team of dog helpers, especially Thor!). My partner Eve and I spent a perfect 8 days there and our only regret was not booking for longer.
