When Beatrijs Smulders en Roel van Dalen are back home in the Netherlands, their friend Putu Kusuma Wijaya, his wife Eti and Putu's mother Ma Kim are the 'bosses' here. They make all the important decisions, manage the 'purse' and fullfil your needs. Putu and Eti live on the Rumah Kita estate, together with their little daughter. Putu's mother Ma Kim cooks your evening meal in her home in Singaraja, the former capital of Bali, 11 kilometres east of Rumah Kita and Lovina Beach. Putu completed the famous Amsterdam Film Academy in june 1994. His studies were paid for from the 'Rumah Kita' rental proceeds. Putu currently lives in in his own house in Rumah Kita and works as a film director and manager of Rumah Kita.
Should you have any trouble, complaints or questions, feel free to ask Putu, Eti or Ma Kim. They are very precise and they have hearts of gold!

Rumah Kita, our estate in North-Bali, consists of three houses, a large swimming pool and a beautiful garden. Rumah Kita (4 persons) is also the name of one of the three houses on our estate. The other two are called Wantilan (the largest, suitable for 6 persons) and Glebeg Baru (2 adults & 2 children, because the 2nd bedroom is not suitable for two adults. If you come with more than two adults, better book the house Rumah Kita. Slightly more expensive, but definitely more comfortable). Wantilan is our largest house. The houses can be booked separately and have lots of privacy. All have an open living terrace on the ground floor. They are living rooms of a special, open construction, in perfect harmony with nature, following the typical traditional Balinese lifestyle. No AC, because that interferes with the Balinese character of our place. This spatial style, with the garden as a direct extension of the living room, contributes significantly to a sense of unity with nature. Included in the price is a small Asian breakfast (extra's have to be paid!) and a wonderful dinner, which is served in by our staff in your own house. Our guests really love this!

The site is closed with a gate. Outside the gate it is only a two minute walk to a tropical beach, where you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset every day! The beaches of North Bali are characterized by its unique, dark colored sand, which is of volcanic origin, and its rural character. Here, on Rambutan Beach in Kalibukbuk, central Lovina, you can prepare a big bonfire. After sunset it's bonfire time! You're sitting at the beach around the fire, a picknick basket with some food and drinks within reach, while dad is roasting his fish above the fire, just catched during the fishing trip with the traditional outrigger. And a guitar is present as well, for playing the guitar and singing on the beach is typical Bali too. At the beach you can rent Balinese boats. The boats will take you out to open sea, where in the mornings you can feast your eyes on large schools of dolphins. Each morning around sunrise dolphins visit the coast of Lovina, hunting for fish. You can sail out in a traditional outrigger, just before sunrise, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rising sun above the mountains, while dozens of dolphins tumble and jump out of the sea around your boat.
