A modern quiet retreat Riverfield Lodge makes an ideal base from which to explore the lovely heritage countryside of County Meath, Ireland. Friendly hosts on site, willing to explain and help with directions, etc. Separate parking facilities and entrance to Apartment located behind the main house. You can enjoy the comfort of our big sunroom/tv lounge after a day's touring or shopping! This charming accommodation boasts a full kitchen, laundry facilities and cloakroom. Two en-suite bedrooms (one double, one twin) are all on the ground floor with third bedroom (en-suite) on first floor with sofa bed. We aim to offer our guests a warm comfortable home from home experience. Riverfield Lodge stands on mature gardens with play area, picnic area and barbecue facilities for our guests’ enjoyment.

Your Hosts, Tara and Andrew (fluent Irish speakers) wish to extend a warm welcome to you and hope you have a very pleasant stay. Both very much enjoy country living where Andrew creates beautiful traditional Irish Willow baskets, is a keen bee keeper, keeps chickens as well as producing delicious organic vegetables and fruits in his poly tunnel and garden. Tara is an Irish Batik artist and her work is inspired by her local farm animals and the beautiful Irish landscape.

Trim Castle (setting for the movie, “Braveheart”, Newgrange, Loughcrew provide a great day's exploration in the rich green countryside of Co. Meath. The popular family amusement park Tayto Park is a mere 40 mins drive away. Our own Hill of Ward (Tlachtga) is another interesting Neolithic site to explore and is right on our doorstep and it is the place where ‘Halloween’ originated. The Beach at Bettystown is just under an hour's drive away while the lakes of Co. Cavan and Westmeath will provide more entertainment and fishing if so desired.
