Welcome to Manoir Mathias, our iconic new Orleans style home located in the heart of the french quarters of beautiful Pondicherry. It‘s the home of Rendezvous Cafe Restaurant ( our rooftop restaurant of 30 years). The location is ideal, the rock beach is a 5 minute walk from our property as well out some of the best cafe’s, restaurants and nightlife. Auto stand and two wheeler vehicle rentals are also a hop skip and jump away. Our rooms are designed with love & named after every member of our family. The rooms have an attached surround colonial balcony, with dividers: ash trays are provided for those who want to smoke. Our building is surrounded by plants, music, art and food. We hope our guests find everything to feel at home, and may all who visit as guests leave as friends.

I am Valerie, a hotelier, restauranteur and entrepreneur. I absolutely love meeting people and hosting guests at our charming little homestay. We have a rooftop restaurant that turns 30 this year, and a quaint jazz cafe on our ground floor of our building. I am always around, and we live on the premises as well. My husband and I along with my mother live in the building, so we are always available to our guests. I love travelling, art, food, music and nature. We make it a point to travel every year for a month to refresh and come back with more ideas. We are also great animal lovers and we feed the homeless dogs, we have also adopted 4 of them, who are harmless and do not disturb the guests. They do sometimes sleep in the building, we have allocated a space for them so they wont be a bother. I speak english, french and tamil fluently, and moderate hindi. We are a mangalorean family that has never lived in mangalore, i have lived most of my life around the country and studied in Europe. Looking forward to hosting you!
