“Maragret´s cottage” is a small and cozy house in one of the best locations in central Akureyri. With a hundred year old history and character to match. The house is on two floors and has bed spaces for 6 persons. On the second floor where the main entrance is, there is a living room with a flat screen smart TV. Adjacent to the living room is a dining room with a dining table that seats up to 8 people. To the left of the main entrance is a bedroom with a large double bed and further down the hall is a small but well equipped kitchen. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small living room with a fridge freezer along with a sofa bed that sleeps two people. From the kitchen there is a narrow and steep staircase leading down to the ground floor. Please note that the stairs are not suitable for people with limited mobility and the ground floor has a relatively low ceiling. On the ground floor there is a laundry facility with a washer and dryer, a bathroom with a bathtub and a large bedroom that sleeps 4 people with one double bed and two single beds. The house has all the comforts necessary for a relaxing stay in the center of Akureyri.

Many of the major attractions in town are just a stone's throw away. Akureyri swimming pool is just a few meters away, the Akureyri church and church steps leading down to the city center are less than 200 meters away and Akureyri botanical gardens are within 10 minutes walking distance. Furthermore there are two convenience stores within walking distance, one of which is open 24 hours... this location is one off the best in Akureyri
