Information about the local area: In the B&B’s immediate surroundings there are many places of interest, such as: the Basilica of S.M. degli Angeli and the Galleria Borbonica in the same street, Via Gennaro Serra; the Royal Palace and the Church of San Francesco di Paola in Piazza del Plebiscito; the San Carlo Theatre and the historic Caffè Gambrinus in Piazza Trieste and Trento; the pedestrianised Via Toledo, perfect for shopping, with its numerous historic buildings as well as the spectacular Galleria Umberto I; Via Chiaia, another pedestrianised street with plenty of shopping possibilities and the oldest pizzeria in Italy, where the Pizza Margherita originated; just a 15 minute walk to the South, there’s Via Santa Lucia, the "Borgo Marinari" with the Castel dell'Ovo and the splendid Via Caracciolo, the promenade par excellence; or on the other side, towards the east, Piazza Municipio with the Maschio Angioino castle and Molo Beverello, the port for connection to the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, as well as the Sorrento Peninsula.
