Domus Mater is a spacious and well-lit apartment, in the mezzanine of a small block of flats, with air conditioning, satellite TV, WI-FI, washing machine, microwave oven, courtesy kit, hairdryer, linens. It can accomodate a maximum of five people. It consists of a spacious living room with a fireplace, kitchen area fully equipped, double bedroom (with the possibility of adding a single bed), another bedroom with a single bed and a sofa-bed, bathroom with bathtub and shower. Domus Mater is in Pirri in the quiet neighborhood of Is Bingias (the vineyards) close to Cagliari, a few hundred meters from via Italia, where you can find shops, restaurants, post office, banks. The 400mq Is Bingias civic market has around forty different stands. There are two public parks in the area: Terramaini park is 8 hectars wide and you can spot pink flamingoes in the right season, the Ex Vetreria park (25.000 mq) hosts a number of cultural events and festivals. Both can be easily reached by foot. At a distance of 6km you can find Scibaldi public swimming pool (50mt olympic pool). Cagliari town centre is 5km away, easily reachable with the n°1 bus, the bus stop is a two minutes walk from the house.

Pirri is the only Municipality of Cagliari (it used to have its own council) since 2006 , is made up of seven neighborhoods and its roots go back to prehistoric times, as the archeological finds attest to. In recent years Pirri has got closer to Cagliari becoming one metropolitan area, becoming integrated with the largest city. Houses now stand where fields used to be, Pirri is now less of a village and more of a town but it still retains its own traditions like the festival of Saint Maria Chiara. Domus Mater is in an excellent location thanks to its proximity to important roads: two minutes drive from via Vesalio, which connects the Is Bingias neighborhood to Cagliari city centre, 8 minutes from the Asse Mediano, main roadway of the eastern part of Cagliari, 5 minutes from the Vesalio stop of the Metrocagliari, 5 minute from SS 554, SS 130 and 9 minutes from the SS 131. For its features and position it is ideal for couples, families, groups of friends, holiday-makers, peolple on business trips or people who need to stay close to hospitals.
