Our stay in Masseria Autigne is one of the highlights of our Puglia trip. The place is absolutely gorgeous and decorated splendidly. It is evident that great care was put into the masseria as seen in the small design details. The location is fantastic as it is situated amongst serene farmland and yet it is a short drive to the busy downtown. We stayed here for five days and we felt that we could have stayed longer as it is a perfect base to explore nearby towns and beaches. What made our stay extra special is how Daniele, the owner, took great care of us. He went out of the way to make dinner arrangements, provided local recommendations, and made us feel at home. We are already making plans to come back.

Masseria Autigne is an 18th-century manor house with its own horse stables and light aircraft landing strip. Surrounded by fields and woods, it is just 10 minutes' drive from the seaside town of Otranto. Apartments have many original features including stone floors and arched ceilings. Each one has 1 bedroom and a separate living room with kitchenette. All of the apartments are air conditioned and feature an LCD TV. The Autigne Masseria produces and sells Torre S. Emiliano cheese and Barbatelle, a plant typical of the Puglia region. Free parking is provided and bikes are available to rent. The nearest coastline is 1.5 km away and is easily reached by bike. The nearest beaches are 7 km away.
