The best hotel experience we’ve ever had anywhere in the world (we are a married couple who have been travelling together for 5 years). Peter and Elaine were incredibly attentive and welcoming hosts. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal (we had delicious homemade pancakes and omelettes and fresh fruit, but there was also a full range of Jamaican breakfasts which were super tasty). To get down to the main road there are two paths - one is following the back street, which is a little dark at night but totally fine during the day. The other is a shortcut through the hotel grounds which Peter provides access to, which felt much safer at night. Location is perfect - within easy walking distance of Pork Pit, Doctor’s Cave Beach and the Hip Strip. The views from the hotel are amazing, and there’s a good sized outdoor swimming pool. Everything was super clean. The bathroom was enormous! The bed was incredibly comfy. Overall, we would give it a 20/10 if that was possible.

I wish I could give Polkerris 20 stars! Peter and Elaine and their team went above and beyond in helping me, from my delayed arrival to my very early departure. I first stayed at Polkerris in 2012 and I'm delighted to say that it remains as excellent now as it was then (and I really hope I don't have to wait another 10 years before returning!). And that's before I have even mentioned the amazing breakfast, which to be honest, is worth the trip to Montego Bay alone! Polkerris has it all – great food, gorgeous views, convenient location, and fabulous hosts.

All the staff are extremely kind and attentive and warm, every morning you are treated to an authentic Jamaican breakfast overlooking the stunning bay.

Peter and Elaine were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Peter even took us back to the airport himself when the taxi didn't turn up. The breakfast was excellent, a choice of Jamaican or International cooked and prepared to order.
