This hotel is located above a new food mall attached to the JR Shibuya station. It was very easy to access and the lobby made for a grand entrance. We particularly liked the robot butler which will drop off amenities at the room. The breakfast was delicious, too, offering proper baguette bread and a honey comb which we would expect of a five-star hotel.

Beds (I stayed twice here during my time in tokyo) were super comfortable, and the space well laid out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. There was a slight hum of traffic in the evening.
The hotel room was spacious, with lovely bathroom facilities. It was great having restaurants and coffee shops in the same complex as the hotel. It was an extremely easy walk to shibuya station.

It’s a bit far away from the JR station and airport limousine bus station.
The room is larger than most Japanese hotel rooms. The bed is large.

Very near to many shops and shopping malls, restaurants and also Shibuya metro station that can go with very good connections every where. Very friendly staff, clean rooms. I go there one day later and they accept to not charge me. Thanks for that! For sure I come back next time.

Overpriced compared to anywhere we have ever stayed during our travels over the past 30 years. $1500 for three nights with a very average favourless breakfast was a complete rip off. The room was ok but just had the usual amenities nothing special. Staff although polite, had no interest in our stay and never even enquired if we had everything we needed. We would not recommend this hotel.
The location was good but lots of other hotels to choose from in the area.

The room was smaller than expected and it was not sound proof. It looks like it should have another layer of double glazing glass as the ledge is there to accomodate it. The coffee was terrible. Surely a hotel of that "caliber" would have a decent espresso machine! Some weeks before we checked in I requested a late checkout for 4pm...to fit in with our evening flight. An email was sent back saying it was fine. Of course it was... Because I did not realise that it was a 24 hr clock so I should have put 1600. They should of queried why I would be asking for a late checkout at 4 am? not 4pm? When we arrived and asked about it we were asked to pay an extra Y9000 to do a later checkout!!!! The staff were very good.
We enjoyed the location once we found our way around the confusing construction.

Considering the hotel is new, it seems odd that the windows aren’t totally soundproof. Kept getting woken up by sirens. The green lights on the air conditioning control unit are exceptionally bright and light up the room but you can’t turn them off without turning off the air con.
Amazing location right on top of Shibuya station, new rooms with good facilities. Clean.

The gym facilities are extremely small
Newly built hotel in a new tower, location was great (despite a lot of construction works around Shubuya certainly due to pre-olympics 2020), this hotel was one of the few offering a three single bed room, which is waht we needed. Staff has always been nice and discreet, present whenever (rarely for us) needed. For the trip back to Haneda airport, it was appreciated that they offered complementary taxi service to another Excel hotel in the area (where the bus to Haneda or NArita departs), given that with our luggage (and rain that morning) it would have been complicated to do the short distance amongst construciton works. Nicely decorated rooms, nice view. Very good initiative also to have put a laundry section (washing machine and dryer) at one of the floors (unusual for a hotel of this category but pretty handy for long stays such as ours)

Shibuya is a big mess because of construction related I assume to the Olympics. Getting around efficiently took me a good week to figure out. That said, the hotel isn't in the middle of Shibuya, kind of on the edge of the main crossing, so it's a nice escape, especially since it has a bunch of shops and restaurants that buffer the street madness.

The downside to the location is that there is a ton of construction in the area and getting to and from the Shibuya train station is very confusing. This was our first stop in Japan and it took a good hour to find the hotel, partially because GPS doesn’t work well around tall buildings. Even though you can see parts of the train station next to the hotel, the path there is unintuitive. The toilet was in a separate room close to the entry way, which is nice since it’s separate from the sink and shower. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much noise insulation and toilet paper was embarrassingly thin.
We stayed in the superior twin room in a corner which was very luxurious. The room was spacious with plenty of room for three people and space to layout luggage. There was a nice little chaise that was perfect for curling up with an iPad and coffee. The TV was surprisingly small for the size of the room though. The bathroom was very nice with a separately enclosed wet shower and tub. The shower was so well insulated that we could barely hear when someone was in it. We were pleasantly surprised that they had a Nespresso machine in the room with 2 capsules per person (although only 1 creamer/persons). Good coffee can be a god send for western visitors. There are a lot of nice restaurants on the floor leading up to the hotel. It’s nice to have so many options close by when you are tired and not in the mood for running through town. Plus, there is a nice convenience store in the plaza that sells a variety of food, snacks, and drinks. Once we figured out how to get around, it was nice having easy access to Shibuya crossing and the Hachiko statue. Finally, we did enjoy the breakfast half buffet despite it being so small. Very few restaurants serve breakfast, especially around 7:00 AM when we wake up, so the high cost can be worth the convenience. You pick one of the main entree options (e.g., omelette) and the eat whatever you want at the buffet. The buffet Is very small, but higher quality than most hotels we stayed at. The pastries were particularly tasty with a delicately crispy outside, but very flaky inside.

The fitness/gym facilities is non existent. They shouldn't even bother listing it. The fitness facility is a small room. They have 2 non working stationary bikes - the bikes barely work. There is one fitness/ab ball - and that is it.
The breakfast was very basic - it's not something I would highly recommend - but it is just fine for the convenience.
