With superior views of Mt. Myoko, Kurohime, and Madarao mountains, Wasabi Cabin is spectacular new place to stay in Myoko Kogen. This is a freshly renovated self-contained cabin in the pension area of Akakura. Wasabi cabin is ideally located close enough to the main town to enjoy the slopes, and main town of Akakura, while set apart in a quiet area surrounded by serene nature. With all the amenities your group could need, this is the ideal place to stay for your holiday in Myoko. The cabin is ideal for families or a close group of friends. The top floor has 2 bedrooms, one with a fixed queen bed, and the slightly larger one has 2 single beds that can stand alone as singles, or be put together as a King. There is just enough room for a futon on the floor. One the ground floor the living room can convert to a 3rd bedroom, the sofa converts to a Double Single (ideal for 2 kids or a small couple) with room for an additional futon. The common spaces include an entry way/dry room, kitchen, toilet/sink/shower, and a dining area. There is a driveway and a parking space on the premises, but 4WD and winter tires are an absolute must if you are bringing your own car. Welcome Home!

We are Jen and Matt, from Alaska and Reunion Island, and somehow we met halfway between the two in Indonesia, where we spend our summers for the past decade. We have lived and worked in Japan since 2001 and it has become a true home for us. After 5 winter seasons in Hakuba, we moved to Myoko where we enjoy the sense of community and traditional Japanese countryside living. We manage a hotel just up the road from the cabin, and offer to you the same quality hospitality we have offered to hundreds of visitors to Myoko since 2014

Myoko Kogen has some of the best skiing and biggest snowfalls of anywhere in the world. Yet, this little village somehow manages to maintain it's countryside feel and intimate vibe. In the winter this town comes alive, the main street of Akakura's restaurants, bars and shops provide everything you need for a perfect ski getaway. Our cabin is located in the "St. Moritz" pension area, a quiet neighbourhood just a 1 km walk from town and the ski lifts.
