Fanøy Island Lodge is run by the local tourism company Norway Adventures, which has over 19 years of experience in tailoring tours in Norway as well as guiding outdoor activities. We love the wild nature in Norway, from fjords to mountains and want to share this with you. Fanøy Island Lodge is our first and only accommodation and we opened to visitors in the spring of 2023 after extensive refurbishment. At the time, the accommodation had been inactive for 10 years and the current owners wanted to facilitate more visits and activities on this beautiful island. In addition to individual bookings, we offer company and group trips to Fanøy Island Lodge, with organized activities and access to meeting rooms. Please contact us for an offer.

Welcome to Fanøy Island Lodge. We offer self-catering apartments with a high standard, private balconies and stunning sea views. Each apartment has its own distinctive character and has been named after the surrounding islets and mountains. They are all well-equipped with what you need for a great stay, from cozy sitting areas, wood-burning ovens for the cold days, to well-equipped kitchens. The lodge is in a quiet cove, well suited for swimming, fishing and water sports. How to get here: Florø is the nearest town and the hub for public transport to Fanøy. There are several ways to get to Fanøy, be it by ferry, taxi boat or your own boat. From the ferry terminal (Fugleskjærskaia) in Florø, there are several daily departures to Fanøy by ferry. It is also possible to hire your own shuttle boat with the local taxi boat company Havskyss - contact information can be found on Havskyss' own website. If you travel by your own boat, there is a guest pier in Søre Fanøyvåg, not far from the ferry quay. Information about routes and timetables on the ferry can be found on the website of the ferry company fjord1. Please note that on some of the departures (especially on the return departure on Wednesdays) you must book tickets in advance. The island is best explored on foot, and it is a short and easy walk from the quay to the cabin. We therefore recommend leaving the car in the car park close to the ferry terminal in Florø. However, it is possible to take your car on some of the ferries if you need to. You must book a place in advance, and be aware that not all ferries will have space for a car. There is no designated parking space at the cottage, but street parking is possible. From the quay, take the first road to the right and follow it for about 120m. You then turn left and follow the road for approx. 450m, turn left again, and after approx. 35m you will see a green gate on the left. You have arrived at Fanøy Island Lodge. -Welcome!

Fanøy Island Lodge is located on the wild and beautiful Fanøy, a short ferry ride from Florø, in a small archipelago with islets and reefs, with the ocean as its nearest neighbour. Here you can enjoy quiet days on the terrace or on the jetty in our own private cove, paddle around the narrow straits in the immediate area and fish from the rock. You can also go on adventures with Fanøy Island Lodge as your base. The area is rich in nature experiences and Fanøy has a network of hiking trails well suited for discovering the uninhabited parts of the island. For those who like to go on mountain trips, we have several suitable mountains in the archipelago, which are easy to get to by rental boat or shuttle boat. Store Batalden is perhaps the most famous of the hiking destinations in the area, but you also have, for example, Blåkollen and Lille Batalden. If you are culturally interested, Fanøy boasts its own music festival! Havblikkfestivalen takes place at the end of June each year and also organizes a series of smaller concerts during the year at Batalden Ishus, which is within walking distance of Fanøy Island Lodge. The Saga Island Kinn, with its exciting history and verdant landscape, is also one of our closest neighbors. Here you can enjoy great hiking terrain, a stone church from the Middle Ages and every year in June, you can experience the popular Kinnaspelet. -A historical play that is performed magnificently between the rock wall and the church. The play has been a fixture on the program for the past 30 years and over 90,000 visitors have seen it.
