If you need a little more than that, there’s a mini supermarket in Mapua Village, and Richmond with all the major conveniences is just 12km away. There are a handful of wineries and vineyards close by to tour around, and for a day out enjoying the natural beauty of the Tasman area, Marauhau and Kaiteriteri are less than 40 minutes drive away and great spots to explore the Abel...

Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
