When it’s time to venture outdoors, take a 5-minute stroll to Paekakariki Beach for a day of sun, sand and surf, or walk the same distance to Queen Elizabeth Park, where there is plenty of wildlife, a walking tracks and picnic areas to enjoy. If you’re up for a journey slightly further afield, a short 15-minute drive will also take you to Kapiti Island Nature Tours, a local Kapiti Island tour operator. Please note this is a shared driveway and please DO NOT ENTER NEIGHBORS DRIVEWAY AND PROPERTY! All guests should take extra care on the deck due to the risk of falls. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
