Surrounded by rolling hills and rich farmland, Walkers Retreat is a comfortable self-contained unit located just 10 minutes from Mangawhai! Adjoined to the main home, this accommodation is separate and private. The space sleeps up to four guests, providing a king and queen-sized bed and is nicely complimented by a kitchenette and bathroom. With two couches, WiFi and a Smart TV, snuggle up and feel right at home! Indoor-outdoor flow means you can make the most of the rural outlook. Take a step out onto the deck, fire up the BBQ and breathe in the fresh air! With outdoor seating and friendly sheep, immerse yourself in peaceful and quiet countryside living. Tucked away off a country road, you’ll forget Mangawhai village is just a 10-minute drive away. Providing shops, eateries, Mangawhai Tavern and a New World supermarket, there’s plenty of entertainment and essentials. Kayaks boogie boards and life jackets are available for guest use. Two minutes up the road there is also a surf and paddle board rental, you can hit the surf with both Te Arai and Forestry beaches only 7kms away and even more beaches at Mangawhai Heads! Bring the clubs with Tara iti, Mangawhai and Te Arai Golf Courses all within a 20-minute drive! For comfort in the country on the edge of magical Mangawhai – experience Walkers Retreat! Please note this is a self-contained unit attached to a main dwelling that will be occupied during your note there are only microwave and BBQ cooking facilities is via a gravel road. There are kayaks and boogie boards available to use during your are life-jackets available to use with the kayaks but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. Mangawhai is a thriving township located halfway between the Bay of Islands and Auckland. The village itself is bustling with great shops full of artisan goods, including the world famous in New Zealand Bennet's Chocolate, which is not to be missed! There's an epic surf beach catering to those who enjoy some wild waves, as well as numerous other bays and the harbor, which are safe for swimming, kayaking, relaxing or launching the boat.
