The place was gorgeous the house was stunning and the surrounding as well full of animal and surrounded by beautiful mountains and so peaceful to and the swimming pool add that extra touch. The breakfast was delicious with Filipino treat definitely recommended

Situated at the foothills of Mt. Banoy, The Red Hen Homestead is a pleasant 2 hour drive from Metro Manila. All day, the cool breeze blows and the sounds of nature are abundant. The house is a modern-native Filipino designed home, powered by solar panels and has a rain harvesting system. There are 3 aircon rooms and 1 fan room. The home has a fully equipped, indoor kitchen. Enjoy swimming in the 25 meter lap pool, enjoy unlimited use of the mini zipline, cook outdoors with a brick oven, or explore our permaculture farm. You may also arrange for a hike up Mt. Banoy or for a massage at the property. Our home is designed to be a sustainable farm living experience. We compost food waste and discourage the use of single use plastics. We provide water by the gallons for a fee or you may bring your own 5 gallon jugs. (Please do not bring in single use plastics.) We also encourage that lights and air conditioning must be switched off when not in use. We are in a forest area, so there can be a lot of insects and mosquitoes. Please bring insect repellant, and to avoid lots of insects swarming inside the home, please dim the lights because they are attracted to bright lights. We can accomodate a total of 16 person maximum. Standard number of guests is 12. Please indicate the correct number of guests per booking. Any guests in excess of 12 or the number of guests indicated in the reservation will be charged an extra person fee.
We look forward to having you at our homestead! Please google map your way to The Red Hen Homestead. Don't waze as it will take you somewhere else. We have a chest freezer on site for your food storage needs. If you require water, we provide 5 gallon jugs at php 200 each or you may bring your own 5 gallon jugs to fit in the dispenser. Should you wish to grill or use the brick oven or bonfire we can provide charcoal and firewood for php 300. There is a local market about 10 minutes away or an SM 20 minutes away. Our kitchen and dining utensils are complete excepty for a microwave and toaster oven. There's a pressure cooker on site as well as roasting and grilling equipment. We also have a coffee press for coffee drinkers. We can offer massage service, kindly just inquire. There's a mini zipline on site. Unlimited use per booking is allowed but users must sign a waiver. The lights inside some rooms/hallways and toilets can be adjusted to warm, white and bright. Just keep flipping to your preference. No shoes or slippers inside the bedrooms. Pets must have diapers on. Please bring insect repellant!
We are situated at the foothills of Mt. Banoy. You may arrange for a hike to the peak of the mountain and enjoy 360 degree views of Batangas, Batangas Bay, Mt. Maculot, up until Mt. Makiling and the Lobo mountains and hills. For those who do not want to hike, you can come up to the vista, which is 15 minutes away from the homestead, and enjoy the sunset. There is a 50p entrance fee per car.
