The town is located to the east of Rzeszow, in the depression of the Młynówka stream, at the foot of the Maria Magdalena hill, which forms the northern edge of the Dynów Foothills. At the summit of the hill stands the church of St. Magdalene. Maria Magdalena Hill (394 meters above sea level) in Malawa is one of the best vantage points in the vicinity of Rzeszow.
