Great location and an exciting breakfast. The daily changing 2 course breakfast is a perfect start (great self-made pastries!). Jim is a perfect host taking care of his guests. The B&B is located 15 minutes walk from the city center with lots of great restaurants. We can’t remember sleeping better in an hotel. The mattresses were perfect and it is a very calm area. If you prefer a historic villa rather than a modern hotel it gonna be your spot in Portland! We will be back again.

A perfect stay, in a perfect location - pretty close to restaurants that the very friendly innkeeper Jim helped curate. The Inn at Carleton is a gem in Portland, a city that has much to offer. Sorry to say, we had only planned to stay one night - should have been there longer! The house where the Inn is located is a special place and everything is perfect, from the rooms, the comfortable bed and the cleaning standard to the breakfast which is served as a 2 course. Go visit and find out what its like to be totally pampered. Highly recommended!
