Check-ins are Saturday to Saturday Old World charm meets New World style in this Surf City original. This updated historic cottage is just a hop, skip & a jump from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean & those famous Topsail beach sands and surf. With two beach access entries nearby the Atlantic Ocean is fundamentally your backyard. “Lil Nauti” inspires fun, frolicking & just plain-old fashioned lounging around. The most frequent comment made about this property is “Now this is what a beach house should look & feel like.” Airy, open, and inviting. - a charmingly decorated home with a nod to the past! Lil’ Nauti was built in 1957 & is one of the original cottages built on the island after Surf City was incorporated in 1949. Once a family-fishing cottage, Lil’ Nauti sits uniquely on the property to catch the ocean breeze with a screened-in porch, perfect to watch early morning sunrises & evening sunsets. Ocean waves are vibrantly echoed with only a street separating this beach bungalow from putting your toes in the sand. With two welcoming original built-in twin bunks located in the foyer, along with a full futon couch/bed, the privacy doors allow for a spacious place for any guest to relax and watch TV. The Master room, situated with a queen bed, is the perfect place to get comfy, and drift off to sleep listening to the sound of the waves nearby. The guest room has 2 twin mattresses (can pull together for a king-sized bed) and beautiful nook for vanity or work purposes. The kitchen, with Granite countertops, stocked with all the essentials, is a cool, vibrant area with a convivial atmosphere. The living room offers the perfect place to unwind and recharge, Complete with books, puzzles and games, reminiscent of days gone by and where cherished family memories continue to be made. This vintage property contains original hardwood flooring throughout the house as well as original rattan closet doors.

Topsail Island is called "Mayberry by the Sea". If you are lucky enough or old enough to remember the Andy Griffith show you will understand what that means. Once connected to the mainland by a swing bridge the new high-rise bridge offers easier access as well as gorgeous views. Surf City is the center, the heartbeat of the Island. Many properties are within walking or biking distance to the center of town made easier to get to by sidewalks. There is even a walking/ biking path on the bridge. You can find a lot to do or do literally nothing at all. This truly is a beach town filled with places to buy bags of candy (including saltwater taffy), freshly made donuts, ice cream cones that will drip down your hand and so much more. The kids will love playing miniature golf or "putt putt" as it's called around here. You and your family can visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital where you can see the hard work, they put in rescuing injured Sea Turtles to one day be released back into the Ocean. Spend an hour or so going through the "Missiles and More" museum learning about Topsail's rich history: Operation Bumblebee, the neighboring Marine Corp base(s) and Pirates. It is said that Blackbeard launched some of his attacks from the shallow inlets of Topsail Island, and legend has it that Topsail Island was named by merchant captains who learned to spot the highest masts (also known as: Tops’ls), of the pirate ships in order to outrun the looters. But, of course, what you are really here for are the beautiful, unspoiled wide sandy beaches. Whether you are in Surf City to catch rays or catch some fish both can easily be accomplished. The warm ocean water will welcome you to take a dip. Our beaches are known for finding treasure, maybe not pirate's gold but you can certainly find some shells, shark's teeth and if you are luck a beautiful piece of frosted sea glass
