We enjoy the experience of meeting new people, many who are from Texas but we've met folks from all over the world! We love presenting meals that wow our guests. We love the social hour and and sharing with guests some of our favorite spots on the property, like the river-view deck, or sitting on the boardwalk or the wedding and event deck with the great view and gentle sound of the three-tiered water feature.

The Bird & Butterfly Inn is your getaway destination when it’s time to unwind in the peace and beauty of nature. Situated on eight beautifully wooded acres on the Angelina River, we’re your choice whether you’re looking for a stunning wedding venue, a fun and relaxing stay for a family reunion, a great space for a corporate training event, or a romantic and unhurried weekend escape. And it’s easy to get here from Houston, Dallas or Beaumont and we’re just 40 miles from Toledo Bend.

Neighbourhood information

The property is just over 8 acres on the Angelina River, with many walking trails (and fun and unique yard-art finds!). We also have 1,800 square feet of covered, ceiling-fanned porches with plenty of rocking chairs for just sitting and enjoying the view and the sounds. You can fish off of our floating dock, or we're just minutes from Lake Sam Rayburn, the largest man-made lake in Texas (114,000 acres!).
