Nottingham Place, built in 1898, is one of the oldest and most recognized homes in the town of Wise. Close to Main Street, with a spacious front porch. The Cozy Turret Room has tall ceilings & windows, a queen bed, TV, electric fireplace, Keurig, microwave and mini fridge. The detached full bathroom is nearby, around the Guest Hospitality Foyer where guests will find snacks, bottled water, wide slot toaster, bagels, cereals and a mini fridge with drinks & condiments. The property owners & friendly indoor cats reside in the home. Close bedroom doors immediately to prevent kitties from slipping inside unnoticed. Unlike most hotels, guests have the unique opportunity to use staircases from a bygone era. Light weight and small luggage recommended. 2nd floor rooms may not be suitable for those with mobility instability. 2 adults and 1 child, 5 and older, permitted in each guest room. No smoking or vaping on premises. **We offer credit in the amount paid toward a future stay if cancelation is necessary**
Ben is the Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department at UVA-WISE, just around the corner. He teaches technical theatre courses and enjoys playing guitar in the band, Ron Short and the Possum Playboys. Kim is a retired actor and enjoys this new phase of life managing Nottingham Place.
