The eco cabin is very cute and very well equipped. It is embedded in a very natural environment: you can only hear frogs and crickets at night time and have views onto vegetation rich surroundings. The hosts are super kind a they provided us with fresh eggs and some basic food that was very helpful as we arrived a bit late from the airport and were starving! Our daughter loved the cabin, it was hard to get her out to the trails!

Positioned perfectly in a lush forest, peace washes over you as you enter the property through the bamboo gate. The home itself has every comfort and so many thoughtfully placed touches we immediately wished we had planned to stay longer. Cherry on top: all the effort put into making it ecologically sustainable. Oh! And we were only a couple of miles from the Volcanoes Park entrance....made it easy to go in for a late night, and spectacular view of hot lava!!

We loved the rainforest scenery!!! This is a wonderful place to relax and it is close enough to Volcanoes National Park and Volcano Village that you don't feel like you are driving all day. Hilo is also not far. The Lodge was equipped with a lot of thought and attention to detail, and the hosts were always available via cell phone. I know that we will be back!!! The bed was very comfy and the filtered rainwater for drinking was delicious!!! And the Yoga mat was a great treat! Thanks so much, Agnes and Andrew for a wonderful stay!

Aloha! Our cabin is a really good base for your East and South side adventures. There is so much to see and explore on this Hilo side of Hawaii (Big Island). Sleep in the cool of the clouds, in this eco-friendly cabin. Comfortably tucked away on acres of a young Ohi'a forest, you are only 5 miles from Volcano National Park and all its adventures. In between Hilo (wet side) and Kona (dry side) there is always an option to use the weather to your advantage. Oh yeah,.. we almost forgot to mention that this nifty little setup is completely OFF THE GRID (solar panels collects and batteries store sun's energy for electricity, water catchment collects water for shower, toilet and kitchen sink). The tap water isn't best for drinking but we provide drinking water in the Cabin with the Berkey Filtration system. Thank you for helping us preserve this paradise for us all! We are a family of 4 humans and 4 animals (if I don't count the chickens, and other creatures:-) living on this 6 acre land near Hawaii Volcano National Park.
In the coolness of the clouds, tucked in a young Ohi'a forest is an eco-friendly cabin that was created for best sleeps and most tranquil stay. Away from noisy roads, commercialism, and even humans (for the most part) we imagined what would be the most satisfying setup we can create for visitors to experience / enjoy what this amazing rain forest offers.
