We all need to unwind from the stresses of city life every now and again. Le Marina is the perfect place to do just this. The moment you drive through the security gate onto the Island, you will feel the tension disappear. Le Marina is an intimate bed and breakfast with two luxury en-suite waterfront rooms with bar fridges and can accommodate 4 guests. Wake up to the cry of seagulls and enjoy a luscious homemade full English breakfast before heading out to explore. The B&B has a honesty bar with pool table as well as a TV lounge. There are board games galore if the weather turns and a bookcase filled to capacity of a variety of different genres of books to read. Both of the air-conditioned rooms are large with a flat screen TV. You can relax in a large, oval bath or have an invigorating shower in your spacious, full en-suite bathroom then stroll out onto your private patio overlooking the waterways. It has a salt water swimming pool and private, undercover braai facilities. Situated on a deep water marina with direct access to the sea, Le Marina can accommodate boats up to 18ft at its private jetty.

After building my first home on the marina at Marina da Gama in Muizenberg, Cape Town almost 30 years ago, it was always my dream to build a home on a deep water marina in the Western Cape. Having spent years' working in broadcasting and running my own business, this dream was finally realised in April 2011 when I completed the building of Le Marina on Admiral Island, Port Owen. The house was designed to be able to operate as a bed and breakfast with the upstairs section of 150 square metres being utilised as two en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own private patio leading off the room and overlooking the waterways of the marina. In addition, guests can enjoy the large communal upstairs bar / pool table / TV corner and undercover patio with braai. Downstairs is our living area, together with our two dogs - a Miniature Schnauzer and a Labrador. We are completely separate and our guests enjoy their total privacy unless there is anything at all that is needed and we're then just a knock on the door away. The West Coast is still very much an undiscovered treasure. A tranquil area in which to relax with phenomenal sunsets, abundant bird life and ample fun-filled water activities. There are daily river cruises & the opportunity to see the bird life at close quarters with an experienced guide. If you prefer going it alone, you are welcome to use either our 2-person kayak or 2-person canoe. Admiral Island is totally secure with 24-hour security access and CCTV cameras. You can quite comfortably leave your car unlocked and go for a stroll around the Island at any time of the day or night.
