Hi . My wife Lorraine and I really hope you will come have a wonderful stay with us in our magical house . Our stunning villa comes with a heated pool ,a wonderful housekeeper , Lydia , and backup solar power and water supply ( there’s really no need to worry about loadshedding !) Set in superb surroundings you will spend your stay soaking up the stunning panoramic sea and valley views. The pool is heated all year round so you can come and relax on the pool terrace or if you prefer to be indoors the full length glass windows allow you to enjoy the view whatever the weather ! You can sit having dinner at night whilst looking at the twinkling lights of Hout Bay and if cooking sounds too strenuous we can arrange for a chef to look after you too ! There really isn’t a better place to sit and enjoy the remarkable hout bay sunsets than from our pool terrace, unless it’s from the swinging chairs in our garden pergola or the African lapa at the top of the garden ! If you prefer to dine out then Hout Bay has an amazing array of dining options . Feel free to ask us for our favourites ! Hout Bay is the perfect location for visiting all the best that Cape Town has to offer .The coastal roads are worth the drive in their own right ! Camps Bay , Lions Head and table mountain on one side , and Chapmans Peak drive , Noordhoek and Cape point on the other . The Constantia vineyards are just a short drive away and the stunning Chapmans peak drive starts just below our house ! There are whale and seal tours from the harbour …and if you are lucky you can even spot them from the shoreline on occasion We are always contactable if you need anything. We aim to provide a fantastic experience for our guests and our reviews reflect what an amazing experience people have when the come and stay at Pepper House . Pictures really don’t do it justice ! If you would like to read more reviews then you can look for Pepper house on a certain Airbnb website too .
Our on-site housekeeper, Lydia will be your main point of contact but we aim to always be available for our guests . Generally Lydia will supply you with everything you need , just ask ! The house benefits from some state of the art green energy solutions . We maximise our use of solar power and we utilise rain water collection systems to provide a back up water supply and irrigation for the mountain garden . When the weather turns cooler we have a fireplace in the living room and all the bedrooms have heaters , underfloor heating , electric blankets and fur throws ! We have fibre connected Hi speed WiFi , DSTV satellite with sports package and smart tvs in the lounge and two of the bedrooms . *please note that Lydia is only available for checkin and checkout at weekends. Otherwise She cleans mon-fri 9-5 . However she is available outside these days and times by prior arrangement at extra cost . We can recommend local chefs ranging from a simple breakfast service to full gourmet chefs ! Or deliveroo 😂
Pepper House is located in a very safe quiet residential area with cctv cameras and 24 hour armed response . Hout Bay is only minutes away by car and has everything you could want from a holiday town , a great beach , award winning restaurants and a fabulous weekend market ,. The famous Chapmans Peak Drive is just below the house and you will be only a short drive from the sensational beach and horse riding at Noordhoek in one direction and Constantia’s vineyards and golf courses in the other . Hiking , trail running , road biking and mountain biking are legend ! Llandudno beach , camps bay and capetown are all a short drive along the most beautiful coastal road beneath the twelve apostles. If you have your own car then we provide garage space for 2 cars , secure off road parking for two more and there is plenty of parking in the street . Otherwise Uber is a fantastic and cheap alternative. Busses also run regularly from Hout Bay to capetown.
