At the Southern tip of Africa, surrounded by two great oceans and magnificent mountains with exceptional marine and birdlife, this is a great space to restore your sanity and rekindle your connection with nature. The apartment occupies the entire first-floor of the home and has a separate entrance. It is entirely open-plan (except the bathroom) with a huge balcony overlooking the bay. It's furnished in a minimalist Scandinavian style with an emphasis on simple, clean lines and comfort. The ground-floor unit is occupied by your host, Claire, and her three cats. Claire will happily advise on the best sites and activities in and around the town. Note that the apartment was de-listed with booking dot com during the pandemic and all the guest reviews have, as a result, lapsed. Prior to then it received superior ratings from local and international guests.

There's something quite magical about waking to the sun rising over the mountains and slowly illuminating the ocean. What a special place this is, tucked in between the Table Mountain range and False Bay with its penguins, dolphins and whales. I'm sure you'll get as much joy out of this amazing place as I do. Murdock Valley south is at the southern edge of Simon's Town on the road that winds down to Cape Point. The house is perched against the mountainside with wonderful views over the bay, and a "secret" path will lead you down to the seafront just 200m away. To access the pristine beaches (and there are three nearby, you won't need to use your car.
