The new owners showed so much care and pride for their property and we loved interacting with them, the friendly staff and other guests, which we enjoyed so much. If you prefer lots of privacy, your own space and spectacular views, go for the chalets on the hilltop, they overlook mountains and rivers. They have just been repainted. Sitting on the stunning porch, with a choice of chairs or comfy sofas, enjoying the hummingbirds fly to the feeders was such a highlight especially during breakfast, which was of fantastic quality and choice. On colder days, there is a cozy lounge for relaxing if you wish. We found the location so convenient for exploring Cape Breton as well as the Bras D’Or lakes. The BEST place I’ve stayed in in 5 weeks of travelling- a wonderful memory to have !

My wife, mother and I got the double bed room. It looked out onto the ocean so we watched a beautiful sunset from the room. The room was recently renovated, very clean, and had little thoughtful touches like earplugs (we didn't need them) and milk and cream for coffee (that was also available in the room). Breakfast was pretty standard, but it was served quickly and promptly at 7:30.

Boasting a terrace, bar and views of sea, Castle Rock Country Inn is situated in Ingonish Beach, 1.6 km from Ingonish Beach. This a beautiful inn. It is located an hour of the beginning/end of the Cabot Trail. The view is beautiful and it was stunning to sit outside and eat our delicious breakfast. The owner Kim was very friendly and welcoming.
