This is because of the individually furnished house and rooms and the exceptional hospitality of the hotel staff. As a german, I was surprised about the fluent german-speaking host. Entering the appartment, you do not know where to look at first: the fan, the cupboard, the table never seen before something like this. The standard of the bathroom is extraordinary. I was only there for one night. If you can arrange, stay longer and enjoy the wonderful view on the landscape, take a seat at the terrace or read some books in the lobby. There is no building next to the hotel except for nature. For the tourists coming far away from Canada: You can buy here Maple syrup in bottles modelled on the shape of a violin.

The owners were on site and spent time talking to us about things to do and the history of the area. Michelle (the owner) thought of everything - water in the fridge, cups plates and napkins and cutlery, and mosquito repellant so we could sit outside at night, the treats from the local bakery were an added touch. Would definitely stay there again.

We also went to The Baddeck Gathering Ceilidh to enjoy traditional Cape Breton fiddle music, song and dance.
