Marco was very attentive to our every request, constantly making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. It's rare for us to get such a good experience from hosts! Otherwise, the location was perfect for us, and having a parking spot nearby really helped us when we were arriving late at night from the Summerside Festival in a nearby town. The apartment itself was large and comfortable, and it was great to have a balcony we could relax at the end of a long day.

Set at 2,225 metres above sea level, Berghaus Männlichen offers a sun terrace with great views of the Swiss Alps, a self-service restaurant, and a children’s playground. Perfect location in the hearth of the mountains! Views! Sunset! All included in the price, except for weather, but we were lucky :) Very good food at the restaurant. In fact, this is rather a mountain hotel, not just a hut. Just have in mind, that you shouldn't miss the last cable car from Grindelwald Terminal, otherwise you won't easily get there and you risk that the reception will be closed. Of course, there is not much to do than enjoying the quiet evening in the mountains after the last gondola stops operating. But this is an advantage! Tip: if you want to go back on the next day to Grindelwald, don't go directly from the top. First take a walk to Kleine Scheidegg which is very easy and extremely beautiful. Then you will have two options: either take a train, either continue hike.

The room was very nice and spotlessly clean, with an amazing mountain view. The location is convenient, close to the train station. I didn’t get the chance to try the restaurant downstairs but it looks very popular, I would definitely recommend this place and plan to book again on my next trip to Switzerland.

The Hotel Steinbock is located at the edge of Lauterbrunnen opposite the train and cable car station for Grütschalp, Mürren and the Schilthorn. Det låg precis bredvid järnvägsstationen och kabinen upp till Winteregg-liften. Perfekt eftersom vi kom med tåg ❗️

The Alpenblick hotel is a family business, situated about 600 metres from the centre of Grindelwald, right at the ski slope and a bus stop, and offers nice rooms and tasty food. The family room was perfect for our family of 5! Kids loved the loft area. Amazing view from the hotel! It's only a short 8-10 min bus ride to the the Grindelwald city center/transport center. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. We actually preferred being away from the busyness of the town. The family that runs this place was so accomodating and kind {they even gave us tools to fix our broken luggage). The dinner we had on property was the best meal we had during our stay in Switzerland, authentic and homecooked. Highly recomend this place and we will stay here again if we return.
