Porto Vecchio ligger i centrala Chania stad, mindre än 1 km från Nea Chora strand och 2 minuters promenad från Etz Hayyim synagoga. We stayed there from the 13th to the 15th of June and I can’t recommend this place enough. Everything about it was perfect. The location is unbeatable - tucked away on a quiet and charming street, yet just steps away from everything you might need: shops, restaurants, bars. The room itself was immaculately clean and incredibly well-equipped with an ironing board, a coffee machine with complimentary Nespresso capsules and a blow dryer. Upon arrival, we found a bottle of cold water waiting in the fridge, along with juice, biscuits, and jam. They had also provided a small bottle of raki with two little shot glasses. Self check-in was incredibly easy. If you’re considering booking, I highly recommend choosing the double room with patio. It comes with its own private entrance, a table and two chairs for relaxing outside, and even a drying rack for wet swimsuits. A special thank you to Maria at reception. I had been looking for a safety pin and she went above and beyond, managing to find me an entire set in two different sizes. The stay was truly exceptional from start to finish.

The property is very clean and modern. Our bathroom was enormous, almost half the apartment, with two showers and a home sauna where you can play music via bluetooth. The bedroom was very spacious. The apartment also had a coffee machine with capsules that make very good coffee. Overall, the place really surprised us.

Four Seasons of Bliss at Sohora Hotel ligger i Rethymnon stad, 6 minuters promenad från Arkeologiska museet, och har snabb in- och utcheckning and gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. We stayed in the Spring room, which had its own private balcony overlooking the courtyard. It was very close (a couple hundred meters) from the Venetian Fortezza and the seafront, which was very convenient and beautiful. The hotel is located in the old town, where no cars drive in the narrow streets - which makes it perfect for wandering around and looking through all the souvenir and clothing shops, super markets and cafe's and restaurants. We will definitely be back, and will definitely book in at Sohora Hotel. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accomodate our requests and assist us with arranging transport. Our best stay in Crete!
