The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Gion district and within walking distance of some of Kyoto’s most beautiful spots. There’s also a bus stop just steps away, making it incredibly convenient to get around the city. The hotel itself feels very new, and our room was super spacious for Japanese standards. Everything was spotless, which is always my top priority. We arrived about an hour and a half before check-in, and the staff kindly let us know our room was already ready. They allowed us to check in early at no extra charge, which made a huge difference for us. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return! :)

Toni the host was the the most friendly and cool dude I've met on my hostel adventures, he was great just to chat to but super helpful with advice and help with info about kyoto! The area is quiet which is nice and also close to everything you need.

Beautiful and clean facility and kind and helpful hosts. Excellent English, which helped us quite a bit. A nice creative bakery run by the hosts on the ground floor and an excellent full breakfast available with the best coffee.

Located in Mimiharachō within 1.2 km of Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko and 1.6 km of Plat Plat, MIROKU Share House features rooms with free WiFi. A funky little place in a quiet spot of the town. Owner seems super chilled. I had some extra requests because of my bike I was travelling with and he was chilled and helpful about it.

Amazing hospitality and beautiful historic home refuge away from the super bustling areas. Nice taste of quieter residential living close to the river. Our host was amazingly helpful and gracious. We loved the Japanese bath as well. Also happy to meet “shin” 🐕

The location is simply perfect. You just need to step out early in the morning to see the streets of Gion without crowds. Kiyomizu-dera is a short walk away. The room is quite spacious compared to regular Japanese hotels. The interiors are quite nice.
