I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse, warmly welcomed by the amazing hosts. The price–quality ratio is honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and on my last day, Kami even prepared some homemade onigiri for me to take for lunch, they were so tasty and such a thoughtful gesture. I truly felt cared for throughout my stay. This was the best place I stayed at in Japan, and when I return to Amami, I will definitely come back here.

I really enjoyed this place. The bed was comfortable and warm. The house had everything I needed. The owner was very attentive and the place was clean. I loved that they had bicycles for me to ride to the convenience store. It was a short walk to the beach. It was peaceful and surrounded by nature. I loved it so much. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, Manami-chan went the extra mile and made our stay truly memorable. Her home is uniquely attached to her family’s temple, which she lovingly cares for, and the atmosphere reflects her warm, gentle spirit. The decor is impeccable—calm, cozy, and soothing—so it feels like the house itself is Manami: thoughtful and kind. Every detail has been considered: a comfortable tatami bedroom with soft, plush mattress and linens, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and even a little mini-spa corner to unwind. There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10. Situated in Yakushima, 29 km from Yakusugi Land, Ananda Chillage Yakushima features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. We have had a great stay in a lovely apartment on a beautiful island. The lovely owners of Ananda Chillage Yakushima were not just extremely kind but also helped us to solve a car rental issue. We loved it!

Open from May 2021, the Comfort Inn Fukuoka Tenjin is located 300 metres from Inter Media Station IMS Building. Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Nakasu are 4 minutes on foot from the property. So close to the subway. But need to carry all the luggages to climb many stairs to exit from subway. My favourite convenience shop Lawson is nearby. The river and the walking street are nearby too! So many good restaurants can be found there. Staffs are so nice and helpful! Our room was big, the biggest that never seen in Japan! Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our room type has bathtub and we enjoyed baths almost every night! Coffee machine nears the reception, it was so lucky that we could have a hot coffee while going out to wind. Overall we enjoyed so much staying here! Would like to come back again!

Situated in Kumamoto, 1.1 km from Suizenji Park, TABINE 1min walk to JR Station Prime Location features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Our family stayed here for 3 nights, apartment was clean and cosy. The hosts were sincere and responded very quickly when we needed help. Before we arrived, they helped us setup the futons on the tatami for our kids. The parking lot is also convenient, just by the entrance of the building. Just a little drawback, the elevator is up a flight of stairs, so the luggages need to be hauled up for a bit. Overall it was a pleasant stay, I would come back again!

The owner was so nice, he offered me to go around to visit memorable places. Surely my stay in Miyazaki was 10/10 because I stayed at this place. Thank you so much

Set in Kumamoto, 1.6 km from Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei, HappyCloset&WasamonHostel offers air-conditioned accommodation and a garden. The couple who runs this hostel are absolutely delightful people. The Saturday night dinner that they host had a super friendly and welcoming atmosphere and provided an excellent chance to make some friends in a new city.

Situated in Isahaya, 27 km from Nagasaki Museum of History, Hotel Karakonosato 唐比の里 features views of the garden. Good value for money. The place is sizable and is cheap for the comfort and space it is offering. The location is fine as it is not far from the city center and some sightseeing spots.
