Situated within 22 km of Ryuoo Ski Park and 33 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park, Sunshine Kyohei features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Nozawa Onsen. I had a lovely time, and really liked the place, loved my room and really liked the owners, they were really pleasant to deal with.

The host was super lovely and went out of his way to make us comfortable and enjoy the trip, including lots of driving around (picking up/dropping off at the bus stop, taking us to the supermarket, as well as to HappoOne + onsen given buses aren’t running yet). He was very responsive and assisted with the wifi and laundry machine. The property had everything you need in a small apartment - clean spacious room with Netflix, private bathroom, shared kitchen with essentials, laundry/dryer machine, snow gear dryer room. Lots of heating that keeps the room warm. Location is right across from the main Goryu gondola. Downstairs is a rental shop where you can get some gear (discount provided from staying at Lift Inn).

Restmance Pension Woody Hill is situated in Iiyama, within 25 km of Ryuoo Ski Park and 30 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park. This 2-star inn offers a ski pass sales point, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The location is great for snowboarding at Madarao Kogen with easy access, roomy accommodations, and everything else you need for a comfortable stay. But most importantly, the owner and his friends are the nicest people ever and I had a great time hanging out with them as a solo traveler. They're responsive, helpful, friendly, and welcoming, and I'm grateful to them for their incredible hospitality.

First Tracks Madarao has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Iiyama. The staff were the kindest people I've encountered on a ski trip! Always proposing to help, giving good tips and tricks, bringing us to the slopes.. they made our stay exceptional. Nice common room with fun games, tv, books... It's a nice warming place to have a good tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Location was convenient, only few minutes walk from bar, restaurant, Onsen and the slopes.

My second time staying! The hosts are so kind and treat you and your pets like family. I will definitely come back. The facilities are clean and comfortable. It is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood that is only a short drive to ski slopes and the middle of town. There are also restaurants in walking distance.

Beds were actual beds and very comfy in big spacious rooms Staff were amazing throughout stay and very helpful with assisting me with shipping my board bag to tokyo at end of my stay went above and beyond to make sure everything was takin care off
